Adeboye charges workers to be diligent

Adeboye.

THE General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has described diligence, total commitment to work and divine favour as major criteria for accelerated promotion.

Addressing private and public sector workers at a special prayer/thanksgiving service organized for them at the church National Headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, Pastor Adeboye urged the workers not to give room for laziness while discharging their duties, but rather maintain a Godly commitment no matter the cost.

In his words: “God will always make Himself available for those who are diligent and fervent in their works. God is watching how you handle issues, files in your place of work, how you spend your time; do you justify the salary that you collect at the end of the month?

“Be busy when you are supposed to. Do not gist or make your personal calls during the working hour and you will see God promote you,” he emphasised.

Speaking on a theme: “Accelera-ted Promotion”, Adeboye ex-plained that promotion comes from God and that most often, promotion has nothing to do with one’s capacity or intelligence or your wisdom or strength. “All those endowments have nothing to do with promotion as it only comes from the Almighty God”, he said.

On his part, the church’s Assistant General Overseer on Admini-stration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, attributed the nation’s challenges to corruption in the public sector, pointing out that the only solution is for politicians to retrace their steps to God.

He also expressed concern about the delay in passing the 2017 budget.
