Pastor Kumuyi, General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry
A Pastor of Deeper Life bible Church, on Sunday kicked against the ponzi schemes making wave in the country
He said ponzi schemes are satanic and Christians should not identify with them
The man of God added ponzi schemes are sign of the last days, hence Christians should stay away from them
A
pastor in Deeper Christian Life Ministry on Sunday, February 19, 2017,
kicked against the Ponzi schemes in the country, describing them as
satanic for the fact that they are not approved by the bodies regulating
financial business in the country.
Speaking to his congregation in Asaba,
the Delta state capital, Pastor Enoch Egwu warned all members of the
church to desist from all Ponzi schemes, saying:
“We thank God that MMM has closed, others are there. If you are into any of them, you are not a child of God.”
Fiery Pastor Egwu said the Ponzi schemes, which many claim had changed
their means of livelihood in this period of recession, are not of God,
warning since it is not of God, it is satanic and should be avoided by
people preparing for the kingdom of God.
He said: “If you are doing any of
them, come out. No economic theory is in support of Ponzi schemes in the
country. The Central Bank of Nigeria and other financial institutions
are against it.”
Egwu, who
insisted that the growing Ponzi schemes are indication of the last days,
called on Christians to engage in recognized businesses to make their
living, adding that Christians should be productively engaged as such
would receive the blessing of God.
Following the challenges that have bedeviled the MMM, many other schemes have sprung up, competing for the attention of gullible Nigerians and many are falling prey into them
One of such is Twinkas which is now
gaining ground in the states. Twinkas promises 200 percent return on
investment and many Nigerians are getting mad over the scheme.
Others which had been in existence before Twinkas are Ultimate Cycler, E-cooperative and a host of others.
